Hi im new to this site i wish to learn more about the coptic church.
I was baptized in the Russian Orthodox Church but for most of my young life I have gone to the Coptic Church.

I have lost my faith mostly due to the fact that i dont know what to belive in but want to gain it back just dont know how.

    There are a number of sites that you can visit in order to get information on your Russian Orthodox heritage.

    http://www.fatheralexander.org/ is a great site with tons of articles on dogma, faith and worship.

    Other good sites to learn about Eastern Orthodoxy are:

    As for the miaphysite Coptic church, this is probably one of the best places to look.

    The miaphysite (Oritental Orthodox) churches and the chalcedonian (Eastern Orthodox) churches are pretty much identical as far as faith is concerned - differences between them are the result of differing cultural expressions, which make absolutely no difference.
    The only real obsticle to unity between the two is that Copts recognise only 3 Ecumenical Councils whereas Eastern Orthodox recognise 7 - and, of course, 1,500 years of seperation can't be solved in a day.
