Alleluia, risen is the King of Peace,
Alleluia, alleluia, He is risen indeed.
Mary Magdalene went so early to the tomb,
For the Body, she brought spices and perfume.
Jesus has risen and death was overthrown,
Therefore, the angel removed the stone.
Mary stood outside with her eyes in tears,
Looking at the empty tomb, she was in fear.
She saw a stranger, but it was Jesus her Lord,
She did not know that He was the beloved Lord.
She asked, while weeping, "O my Lord,
Where have you laid my beloved and my Lord."
Jesus was telling her, "O Mary rejoice,
Go to my brothers and preach the news."
Mary went to the Disciples right away,
With all joy she preached, "Jesus is risen today."
And Jesus Christ Himself among them appeared,
And unto them, He gave peace.
He showed them His hands and His side,
They rejoiced at this holy sight.
Alleluia, the prophecies He did fulfill,
Alleluia, He has risen and has prevailed.
Alleluia to our Savior and our hope,
Alleluia, the thorn of death He broke.
Alleluia, risen is the King of Peace,
Alleluia, alleluia, He is risen indeed.
