Queen Helen desired to see the wood of the holy Cross, on which the Master was crucified upon.
Ⲁⲥⲉⲣⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓⲛ ⲉ̀ⲛⲁⲩ: ⲛ̀ϫⲉ Ⲏ̀ⲗⲁⲛⲏ ϯⲟⲩⲣⲱ: ⲉ̀ⲡⲓϣⲉ ⲉ̅ⲑ̅ⲩ̅ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ Ⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ: ⲡⲓϣⲉ ⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲉϣ Ⲡⲁϭⲟⲓⲥ ̀ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ.
إشتهت الملكة هيلانة أن تنظر خشبة الصليب المقدس التي صُلب السيد عليها.
She longed for it diligently. She did not rest, and by her honesty, she found it.
Ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲥⲭⲁⲧⲟⲧⲥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ⲧⲏⲣϥ: ⲉⲥⲕⲱϯ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲓϣϣⲱⲟⲩ: ϣⲁ ⲧⲉⲥϫⲉⲙϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲥ̀ⲡⲟⲇⲏ: ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲡⲉⲥⲛⲁϩϯ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ ̀ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ.
فلم تمل البتة بل كانت تطلبه بإشتياق وإجتهاد حتى وجدته من أجل أمانتها.
This day is a day of rejoicing in heaven and on earth for the appearance of the life-giving Cross.
Ⲃⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲁϣⲓ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙ̀ⲫⲟⲟⲩ: ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲫⲏⲟⲩⲓ̀ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ: ⲛ̀ϩ̀ⲣⲏⲓ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ: ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ Ⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ ⲛ̀ⲣⲉϥⲧⲁⲛϧⲟ.
كان فرح اليوم في السماء وعلى الأرض من أجل ظهور الصليب المحيي.
We bow down to the Cross, the immortal wood on which Christ was crucified upon to save us from our sins.
Ⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ: ⲡⲓϣⲉ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲁⲑⲙⲟⲩ: ⲡⲓϣⲉ ⲛ̀ⲣⲉϥⲭⲁⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ: ⲧ̀ⲁⲩⲁϣ Ⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡ̀ⲱ̀ⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ.
نسجد للصليب، الخشبة الغير المائتة التي صُلب السيد عليها حتى خلصنا من خطايانا.
Queen Helen went with three thousand soldiers to Jerusalem to ask for the Cross.
Ⲅⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲥⲧⲱⲛⲥ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ Ⲏ̀ⲗⲁⲛⲏ: ⲁⲥϭⲓ ⲛ̀ϣⲟⲙⲧ ⲛ̀ϣⲟ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ: ⲁⲥϣⲁⲛⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ϩ̀ⲣⲏⲓ Ⲓⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲁⲗⲏⲙ: ⲉⲥⲕⲱϯ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁ Ⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ.
قامت هيلانة الملكة، وأخذت معها ثلاثة آلاف جندي، ومضت إلى أورشليم لتطلب الصليب.
The Jews consulted together saying, "We will not show the cross even if we have to die." So, Judas prayed saying: "O Lord the Pantocrator, the Lord of hosts, who is sitting on the Cherubim, show us. O who measured the heavens by the span of His hands and the earth with His fist, show Your cross for the glory of Your holy name."
فتشاور اليهود مع بعضهم قائلين: "لو وصل الأمر إلى أن نموت كلنا، لا نظهر الصليب." فصلى يهوذا قائلاً: "أيها الرب الإله الضابط الكل، رب الصباؤوت، الجالس على الشاروبيم، إظهر لنا. يا من قاس السماء بشبره والأرض بقبضته، إظهر صليبك لكي يتمجد إسمك القدوس."
At that time, the earth split into three roads. A sweet glorious smell spread. When they dug, they found three crosses and they could not identify which one belonged to our Savior. At this hour, some people passed while carrying a coffin. Judas ordered them to lay it down.
وفي تلك الساعة إفترقت الأرض إلى ثلاثة طُرق. وأعمق طيب رفيع عظيم الكرامة. ولما حفروا، وجدوا ثلاثة صلبان معاً ولم يعلموا أيها هو صليب مخلصنا. وفي تلك الساعة جازوا بميت. فأمر يهوذا أن يضعوا نعش الميت على الأرض.
On the coffin, they put the first cross and then the second cross and the dead person did not rise. When they put the third cross, the dead person sat up. Queen Helen kneeled in worship and the people all together were proclaiming saying, "Blessed is the Lord Jesus and His life-giving cross upon which He was crucified to save His people."
ولما وضعوا عليه الصليب الأول والثاني ولم يقم. وضعوا الصليب الثالث فجلس الميِّت. فخرت الملكة هيلانة وسجدت له وجميع الشعب معاً وهم صارخين قائلين، "مبارك الرب يسوع وصليبه المحيي الذي صُلب عليه حتى خلَّص شعبه.

Hail to the Cross, the sign of victory that was given to the Christians for strengthening. Hail to the Cross, the tree that is in Paradise, whose sweet-smelling branches give life to everyone. Hail to the Cross, the sign of salvation that Constantine saw shining in the midst of the heaven.
السلام للصليب، علامة الظفر الذي أُعطى للمسيحيين ليتقووا من قِبَله. السلام للصليب، الشجرة التي في الفردوس التي أغصانها العطرية تحيي كل أحد. السلام للصليب، علامة الخلاص الذي رآه قسطنطين يضئ في وسط السماء.
Hail to you O Cross that was diligently sought by queen Helen until she found it along with the nails. Hail to the Cross that was put into bitter water and it was rendered sweet to quench the thirst of the faithful. Hail to the Cross that deserved to be believed in by Isaac the Samaritan and all who were with him.
السلام لك أيها الصليب الذي طلبته الملكة هيلانة بإجتهاد حتى وجدته مع المسامير. السلام للصليب الذي جعل في المياه المرة فصارت حلوة وشرب منها المؤمنون. السلام للصليب الذي إستحق أن يؤمن به إسحق السامري وكل الذين معه.
Hail to the Cross, the pride of Christians on which the Lord was crucified upon to save His people. Hail to the Cross, the lampstand made of pure gold on which the Lamp, Emmanuel, was lit. Hail to the Cross, the wood scepter on which the blood of the Lamb was shed.
السلام للصليب، فخر المسيحية الذي صُلب عليه الرب حتى خلص شعبه. السلام للصليب، المنارة الذهب المصفى التي أوقد عليها المصباح، الذي هو عمانوئيل. السلام للصليب، قضيب خشبة اللوز الذي قطر عليه دم الحمل.
Hail to the Cross, the indispensable sign in the hands of the Highest like a decorated crown. Hail to the Cross on which the Lord was crucified and He stretched His hands and attracted everyone to Him.
السلام للصليب، الرشم الذي لا يحل الذي في يدي العالي مثل تاج مزخرف. السلام للصليب الذي صلب الرب عليه فبسط يديه وجذب كل أحد اليه.
Because of a tree, Adam was exiled out of the Paradise, and because of the blessed Cross, He returned to his rank once more. We ask the kind Lord to grant us the forgiveness of our sins.
من قِبَل شجرة واحدة، نفيَّ آدم إلى خارج الفردوس، ومن قِبَل الصليب عود الصليب المبارك رد إلى رتبته مرة أخرى. فنسأل الرب المتحنن أن ينعم لنا بغفران خطايانا.
