5:1 And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals.
5:1 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲥⲁⲟⲩⲓ̀ⲛⲁⲙ ⲙ̀ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲑ̀ⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩϫⲱⲙ ⲉϥⲥ̀ϧⲏⲟⲩⲧ ⲥⲁϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲧⲟⲃ ⲛ̀ϣⲁϣϥ (ⲍ̅) ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲃⲥ.
1 وَرَأَيْتُ عَلَى يَمِينِ الْجَالِسِ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ سِفْراً مَكْتُوباً مِنْ دَاخِلٍ وَمِنْ وَرَاءٍ، مَخْتُوماً بِسَبْعَةِ خُتُومٍ.
5:2 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?"
5:2 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲉϥϫⲟⲣ ⲉϥϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛ̀ⲥ̀ⲙⲏ: ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲡ̀ϣⲁ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡⲁⲓϫⲱⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥⲧⲉⲃⲥ.
2 وَرَأَيْتُ مَلاَكاً قَوِيّاً يُنَادِي بِصَوْتٍ عَظِيمٍ: «مَنْ هُوَ مُسْتَحِقٌّ أَنْ يَفْتَحَ السِّفْرَ وَيَفُكَّ خُتُومَهُ؟»
5:3 And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.
5:3 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉ ϩ̀ⲗⲓ ϣ̀ϫⲉⲙϫⲟⲙ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧ̀ⲫⲉ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲥⲁⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲙ̀ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲁ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓϫⲱⲙ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲉ̀ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ.
3 فَلَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَحَدٌ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَلاَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ وَلاَ تَحْتَ الأَرْضِ أَنْ يَفْتَحَ السِّفْرَ وَلاَ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهِ.
5:4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.
5:4 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲣⲓⲙⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉ ϩ̀ⲗⲓ ⲉⲙⲡ̀ϣⲁ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓϫⲱⲙ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲉ̀ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ.
4 فَصِرْتُ أَنَا أَبْكِي كَثِيراً، لأَنَّهُ لَمْ يُوجَدْ أَحَدٌ مُسْتَحِقّاً أَنْ يَفْتَحَ السِّفْرَ وَيَقْرَأَهُ وَلاَ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهِ.
5:5 But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals."
5:5 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲓ̀ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲏⲓ: ϫⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲣⲓⲙⲓ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲁϥϭ̀ⲣⲟ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲘⲟⲩⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧ̀ⲫⲩⲗⲏ ⲛ̀Ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑ̀Ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲛ̀Ⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ ⲉ̀ⲁ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓϫⲱⲙ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉϥⲧⲉⲃⲥ.
5 فَقَالَ لِي وَاحِدٌ مِنَ الشُّيُوخِ: «لاَ تَبْكِ. هُوَذَا قَدْ غَلَبَ الأَسَدُ الَّذِي مِنْ سِبْطِ يَهُوذَا، أَصْلُ دَاوُدَ، لِيَفْتَحَ السِّفْرَ وَيَفُكَّ خُتُومَهُ السَّبْعَةَ».
5:6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
5:6 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑ̀ⲙⲏϯ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲑ̀ⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓϥ̀ⲧⲟⲟⲩ (ⲇ̅) ⲛ̀ⲍⲱⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑ̀ⲙⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩϨⲓⲏⲃ ⲉϥⲟ̀ϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲉϥϧⲉⲗϧⲱⲗ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϣⲁϣϥ (ⲍ̅) ⲛ̀ⲧⲁⲡ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲩⲭⲏ ϩⲓϫⲱϥ ⲛⲉⲙ ϣⲁϣϥ (ⲍ̅) ⲙ̀ⲃⲁⲗ ⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓϣⲁϣϥ (ⲍ̅) ⲙ̀Ⲡ̀ⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ Ⲫ̀ϯ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲏ ⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲧⲁⲟⲩⲱ̀ⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ϧ̀ⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ.
6 وَرَأَيْتُ فَإِذَا فِي وَسَطِ الْعَرْشِ وَالْحَيَوَانَاتِ الأَرْبَعَةِ وَفِي وَسَطِ الشُّيُوخِ حَمَلٌ قَائِمٌ كَأَنَّهُ مَذْبُوحٌ، لَهُ سَبْعَةُ قُرُونٍ وَسَبْعُ أَعْيُنٍ، هِيَ سَبْعَةُ أَرْوَاحِ اللهِ الْمُرْسَلَةُ إِلَى كُلِّ الأَرْضِ.
5:7 Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.
5:7 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲓ̀ ⲁϥⲱ̀ⲗⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓϫⲱⲙ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑ̀ⲟⲩⲓ̀ⲛⲁⲙ ⲙ̀ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲑ̀ⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ.
7 فَأَتَى وَأَخَذَ السِّفْرَ مِنْ يَمِينِ الْجَالِسِ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ.
5:8 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
5:8 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥϭⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓϫⲱⲙ ⲁ ⲡⲓϥ̀ⲧⲟⲟⲩ (ⲇ̅) ⲛ̀ⲍⲱⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓϫⲟⲩⲧ ϥ̀ⲧⲟⲟⲩ (ⲕ̅ⲇ̅) ⲙ̀ⲡ̀ⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲙ̀ⲑⲟ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓϨⲓⲏⲃ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲕⲩⲑⲁⲣⲁ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲫⲩⲁ̀ⲗⲏ ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲉⲩⲙⲉϩ ⲛ̀ⲥ̀ⲑⲟⲓⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ.
8 وَلَمَّا أَخَذَ السِّفْرَ خَرَّتِ الأَرْبَعَةُ الْحَيَوَانَاتُ وَالأَرْبَعَةُ وَالْعِشْرُونَ شَيْخاً أَمَامَ الْحَمَلِ، وَلَهُمْ كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ قِيثَارَاتٌ وَجَامَاتٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ مَمْلُوَّةٌ بَخُوراً هِيَ صَلَوَاتُ الْقِدِّيسِينَ.
5:9 And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
5:9 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϩⲱⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲱⲇⲏ ⲙ̀ⲃⲉⲣⲓ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ: ϫⲉ ⲕ̀ⲉⲙⲡ̀ϣⲁ ⲉ̀ϭⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓϫⲱⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉ̀ⲁ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥⲧⲉⲃⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩϧⲉⲗϧⲱⲗⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲕϣⲟⲡⲧⲉⲛ ⲙ̀Ⲫ̀ϯ ⲛ̀ϩ̀ⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ Ⲡⲉⲕⲥ̀ⲛⲟϥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲩⲗⲏ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲗⲁⲥ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ϣ̀ⲗⲟⲗ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ:
9 وَهُمْ يَتَرَنَّمُونَ تَرْنِيمَةً جَدِيدَةً قَائِلِينَ: «مُسْتَحِقٌّ أَنْتَ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ السِّفْرَ وَتَفْتَحَ خُتُومَهُ، لأَنَّكَ ذُبِحْتَ وَاشْتَرَيْتَنَا لِلَّهِ بِدَمِكَ مِنْ كُلِّ قَبِيلَةٍ وَلِسَانٍ وَشَعْبٍ وَأُمَّةٍ،
5:10 And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth."
5:10 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲕⲑⲁⲙⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲛⲚⲟⲩϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲏⲃ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲉⲣⲟⲩⲣⲟ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ.
10 وَجَعَلْتَنَا لِإِلَهِنَا مُلُوكاً وَكَهَنَةً، فَسَنَمْلِكُ عَلَى الأَرْضِ».
5:11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,
5:11 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ⲧ̀ⲥ̀ⲙⲏ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲛ̀ⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲙ̀ⲡ̀ⲕⲱϯ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲑ̀ⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲍⲱⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉ ⲧⲟⲩⲏⲡⲓ ⲛⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲑ̀ⲃⲁ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲑ̀ⲃⲁ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲁⲛϣⲟ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲁⲛϣⲟ:
11 وَنَظَرْتُ وَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتَ مَلاَئِكَةٍ كَثِيرِينَ حَوْلَ الْعَرْشِ وَالْحَيَوَانَاتِ وَالشُّيُوخِ، وَكَانَ عَدَدُهُمْ رَبَوَاتِ رَبَوَاتٍ وَأُلُوفَ أُلُوفٍ،
5:12 saying with a loud voice: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!"
5:12 Ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛ̀ϧ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ: ϫⲉ ϥ̀ⲉⲙⲡ̀ϣⲁ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲓϨⲓⲏⲃ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲗϧⲱⲗ ⲉ̀ϭⲓ ⲛ̀ϯϫⲟⲙ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯⲥⲟⲫⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲱ̀ⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ.
12 قَائِلِينَ بِصَوْتٍ عَظِيمٍ: «مُسْتَحِقٌّ هُوَ الْحَمَلُ الْمَذْبُوحُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ الْقُدْرَةَ وَالْغِنَى وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَالْقُوَّةَ وَالْكَرَامَةَ وَالْمَجْدَ وَالْبَرَكَةَ».
5:13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: "Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!"
5:13 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ ⲧ̀ⲫⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫ̀ⲓⲟⲙ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛ̀ϧ̀ⲣⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ⲙ̀ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲑ̀ⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ: ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲫⲱⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲱ̀ⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲁ̀ⲙⲁϩⲓ ϣⲁ ⲉ̀ⲛⲉϩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲉ̀ⲛⲉϩ.
13 وَكُلُّ خَلِيقَةٍ مِمَّا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَعَلَى الأَرْضِ وَتَحْتَ الأَرْضِ، وَمَا عَلَى الْبَحْرِ، كُلُّ مَا فِيهَا، سَمِعْتُهَا قَائِلَةً: «لِلْجَالِسِ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ وَلِلْحَمَلِ الْبَرَكَةُ وَالْكَرَامَةُ وَالْمَجْدُ وَالسُّلْطَانُ إِلَى أَبَدِ الآبِدِينَ».
5:14 Then the four living creatures said, "Amen!" And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.
5:14 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓϥ̀ⲧⲟⲟⲩ (ⲇ̅) ⲛ̀ⲍⲱⲟⲛ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ: ϫⲉ ⲁ̀ⲙⲏⲛ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲟⲩϩⲟ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ.
14 وَكَانَتِ الْحَيَوَانَاتُ الأَرْبَعَةُ تَقُولُ: «آمِينَ». وَالشُّيُوخُ الأَرْبَعَةُ وَالْعِشْرُونَ خَرُّوا وَسَجَدُوا لِلْحَيِّ إِلَى أَبَدِ الآبِدِينَ.
