8:1 When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
8:1 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛ̀ϯⲧⲉⲃⲥ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁϩϣⲁϣϥ (ⲍ̅) ⲁ ⲟⲩϧ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧ̀ⲫⲉ ϣⲁ ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ.
1 وَلَمَّا فَتَحَ الْخَتْمَ السَّابِعَ حَدَثَ سُكُوتٌ فِي السَّمَاءِ نَحْوَ نِصْفِ سَاعَةٍ.
8:2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.
8:2 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲡⲓϣⲁϣϥ (ⲍ̅) ⲛ̀ⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲭⲏ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲙ̀ⲑⲟ ⲙ̀Ⲫ̀ϯ ⲉⲩⲟ̀ϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϯ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϣⲁϣϥ (ⲍ̅) ⲛ̀ⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲅⲝ.
2 وَرَأَيْتُ السَّبْعَةَ الْمَلاَئِكَةَ الَّذِينَ يَقِفُونَ أَمَامَ اللهِ وَقَدْ أُعْطُوا سَبْعَةَ أَبْوَاقٍ.
8:3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
8:3 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲕⲉⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲓ̀ ⲁϥⲟ̀ϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧϥ ϧⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲛ̀ⲉⲣϣⲱⲟⲩϣⲓ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲗⲓⲃⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϯ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲛ̀ⲥ̀ⲑⲟⲓⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ: ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲧⲏⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁ ⲛⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲛ̀ⲉⲣϣⲱⲟⲩϣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲭⲏ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲙ̀ⲑⲟ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲑ̀ⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ.
3 وَجَاءَ مَلاَكٌ آخَرُ وَوَقَفَ عِنْدَ الْمَذْبَحِ، وَمَعَهُ مِبْخَرَةٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَأُعْطِيَ بَخُوراً كَثِيراً لِكَيْ يُقَدِّمَهُ مَعَ صَلَوَاتِ الْقِدِّيسِينَ جَمِيعِهِمْ عَلَى مَذْبَحِ الذَّهَبِ الَّذِي أَمَامَ الْعَرْشِ.
8:4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel's hand.
8:4 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϣⲱⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲉⲙⲧⲥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲑⲟⲓⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧ̀ϫⲓϫ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲭⲏ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲙ̀ⲑⲟ ⲙ̀Ⲫ̀ϯ.
4 فَصَعِدَ دُخَانُ الْبَخُورِ مَعَ صَلَوَاتِ الْقِدِّيسِينَ مِنْ يَدِ الْمَلاَكِ أَمَامَ اللهِ.
8:5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.
8:5 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲁϥϭⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲗⲓⲃⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲁϥⲙⲁϩϥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲱⲙ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲛ̀ⲉⲣϣⲱⲟⲩϣⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϩⲓⲧϥ ⲉ̀ϧ̀ⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲛϧⲁⲣⲁⲃⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲥ̀ⲙⲏ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲥⲉⲧⲉⲃⲣⲏϫ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲛⲙⲉⲛ.
5 ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الْمَلاَكُ الْمِبْخَرَةَ وَمَلَأَهَا مِنْ نَارِ الْمَذْبَحِ وَأَلْقَاهَا إِلَى الأَرْضِ، فَحَدَثَتْ أَصْوَاتٌ وَرُعُودٌ وَبُرُوقٌ وَزَلْزَلَةٌ.
8:6 So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
8:6 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓϣⲁϣϥ (ⲍ̅) ⲛ̀ⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲏ ⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ϯϣⲁϣϥ (ⲍ̅) ⲛ̀ⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲅⲅⲟⲥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲥⲉⲃⲧⲱⲧⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛ̀ⲥⲉⲉⲣⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲍⲓⲛ.
6 ثُمَّ إِنَّ السَّبْعَةَ الْمَلاَئِكَةَ الَّذِينَ مَعَهُمُ السَّبْعَةُ الأَبْوَاقُ تَهَيَّأُوا لِكَيْ يُبَوِّقُوا.
8:7 The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.
8:7 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓϩⲟⲩⲓⲧ ⲛ̀ⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲍⲓⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲗ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲭ̀ⲣⲱⲙ ⲉⲩⲙⲟϫⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲛⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲧⲟⲩ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲣⲱⲕϩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫ̀ⲣⲉϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲫ̀ⲣⲉϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲛ̀ⲛⲓϣ̀ϣⲏⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲣⲱⲕϩ ⲛ̀ⲥⲓⲙ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲉⲧⲟⲩⲱⲧ.
7 فَبَوَّقَ الْمَلاَكُ الأَوَّلُ، فَحَدَثَ بَرَدٌ وَنَارٌ مَخْلُوطَانِ بِدَمٍ، وَأُلْقِيَا إِلَى الأَرْضِ، فَاحْتَرَقَ ثُلْثُ الأَشْجَارِ وَاحْتَرَقَ كُلُّ عُشْبٍ أَخْضَرَ.
8:8 Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood.
8:8 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁϩⲥ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ (ⲃ̅) ⲁϥⲉⲣⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲍⲓⲛ ⲙ̀ⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛ̀ⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲭ̀ⲣⲱⲙ ⲉϥⲙⲟϩ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲧϥ ⲉ̀ϧ̀ⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ⲫ̀ⲓⲟⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫ̀ⲣⲉϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲙ̀ⲫ̀ⲓⲟⲙ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲥ̀ⲛⲟϥ.
8 ثُمَّ بَوَّقَ الْمَلاَكُ الثَّانِي، فَكَأَنَّ جَبَلاً عَظِيماً مُتَّقِداً بِالنَّارِ أُلْقِيَ إِلَى الْبَحْرِ، فَصَارَ ثُلْثُ الْبَحْرِ دَماً.
8:9 And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
8:9 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫ̀ⲣⲉϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ ⲫ̀ⲓⲟⲙ ⲛⲏ ⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲛ̀ⲱⲛϧ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫ̀ⲣⲉϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲉ̀ϫⲏⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲕⲟ.
9 وَمَاتَ ثُلْثُ الْخَلاَئِقِ الَّتِي فِي الْبَحْرِ الَّتِي لَهَا حَيَاةٌ، وَأُهْلِكَ ثُلْثُ السُّفُنِ.
8:10 Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
8:10 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁϩϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲁϥⲉⲣⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲍⲓⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϩⲉⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧ̀ⲫⲉ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛ̀ⲥⲓⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲙⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲗⲁⲙⲡⲁⲥ ⲛ̀ⲭ̀ⲣⲱⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϩⲉⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲫ̀ⲣⲉϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲓⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲙⲟⲩⲙⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ.
10 ثُمَّ بَوَّقَ الْمَلاَكُ الثَّالِثُ، فَسَقَطَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ كَوْكَبٌ عَظِيمٌ مُتَّقِدٌ كَمِصْبَاحٍ، وَوَقَعَ عَلَى ثُلْثِ الأَنْهَارِ وَعَلَى يَنَابِيعِ الْمِيَاهِ.
8:11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.
8:11 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫ̀ⲣⲁⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲥⲓⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲯⲓⲛⲑⲓⲟⲛ ⲉⲣⲉ̀ⲛϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫ̀ⲣⲉϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲉⲛϣⲁϣⲓ ⲙ̀ⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲁⲗⲗⲟⲏ̀ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲉⲛϣⲁϣⲓ.
11 وَاسْمُ الْكَوْكَبِ «الأَفْسَنْتِينُ». فَصَارَ ثُلْثُ الْمِيَاهِ أَفْسَنْتِيناً، وَمَاتَ كَثِيرُونَ مِنَ النَّاسِ مِنَ الْمِيَاهِ لأَنَّهَا صَارَتْ مُرَّةً.
8:12 Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.
8:12 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁϩϥ̀ⲧⲟⲟⲩ (ⲇ̅) ⲁϥⲉⲣⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲍⲓⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫ̀ⲣⲉϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲣⲏ ⲁϥⲙⲓϣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲫ̀ⲣⲉϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲓⲟϩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲫ̀ⲣⲉϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲥⲓⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲉⲣⲭⲁⲕⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙ ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲉϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉ̀ϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲉ̀ϫⲱⲣϩ ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲟⲛ.
12 ثُمَّ بَوَّقَ الْمَلاَكُ الرَّابِعُ، فَضُرِبَ ثُلْثُ الشَّمْسِ وَثُلْثُ الْقَمَرِ وَثُلْثُ النُّجُومِ، حَتَّى يُظْلِمَ ثُلْثُهُنَّ، وَالنَّهَارُ لاَ يُضِيءُ ثُلْثُهُ، وَاللَّيْلُ كَذَلِكَ.
8:13 And I looked, and I heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!"
8:13 Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲁϧⲱⲙ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑ̀ⲙⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲧ̀ⲫⲉ ⲉϥⲱϣ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛ̀ⲥ̀ⲙⲏ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ: ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲥⲉⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲥ̀ⲙⲏ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓϣⲟⲙⲧ (ⲅ̅) ⲛ̀ⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲉⲣⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲍⲓⲛ.
13 ثُمَّ نَظَرْتُ وَسَمِعْتُ مَلاَكاً طَائِراً فِي وَسَطِ السَّمَاءِ قَائِلاً بِصَوْتٍ عَظِيمٍ: «وَيْلٌ وَيْلٌ وَيْلٌ لِلسَّاكِنِينَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ مِنْ أَجْلِ بَقِيَّةِ أَصْوَاتِ أَبْوَاقِ الثَّلاَثَةِ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ الْمُزْمِعِينَ أَنْ يُبَوِّقُوا».
