Jesus was walking on the road,
Dust son of dust from the crowd,
Called to Him, "Have mercy, O Son of God,
O God of mercy and compassion."

He spat on the ground with His mouth,
And anointed the eyes of that blind man,
Immediately his eyes were opened,
He saw light after the darkness.

Many miracles by our Master were done,
As the bleeding woman whose flow He stopped,
She was purified by touching His garment,
He accepted the sinful woman in Simon´s house.

Through His power He turned water,
Into good wine at the wedding,
His true faith was confirmed,
And spread throughout all the land.

By His Death, He loosened the bound,
And shone His light on them in the darkness,
He saved all the captives,
From the shame of their father Adam.

Refrain:
Blessed are those who have mercy,
Who give to the poor and fast and pray,
The Holy Spirit will fill their hearts,
The Son will show them mercy on Judgment Day.

Arabic-English:
Yasoo´ masheyan fe-el tareek fa wafah,
Teemab-nee-tema fe-el zahma,
Fa sah erhamnee ya-ebn Allah,
Ya e-lah el raa-fah wal rahma.

Fa tafal ´alal ardee men fah,
Wa tala´ beehee `aynay zaleekal a´ma,
Wa lel waqtee enfatahat `aynah,
Wa apsaral-noor ba´d el-zoolma.

Kam ´a-ga-yeb le sayedna za-ha-rat,
Wal nazfa famana´ `anha al ga-ra-yan,
Wa be lamsee seyabeehee qud tahorat,
Wal khatya qa-belha fe bet sam-`an.

Wal meyah men haybateehe en qa-labat,
Khamaran tayyeb wastel ad-nan,
Wal a-mana assa-heeha beehee thabatat,
Wanta-sharat fe koolel booldan.

Be mawteehee hallal maw-sooqeen,
Wa ashraq fel-zoolma `a-layhem,
Wa khallassa koolel masbeyeen,
Men zelat Adam a-bee-hem

Refrain:
Toba lil-rohama a`la masakeen,
Fa-en el-rahama tehele a´lehom,
Will-masih yerham-hom fe yom el-deen,
We yehel broh qodso fehom.
