Attend church and recite the readings,
Beat your chest during the prayers,
He who does not love his brother,
Lives in the midst of the darkness.

How beautiful are the epistles,
Sweeter than the honeycomb,
Saint Paul´s words restored the disobedient,
Both, free and slaves, men and women.

The house of worship and guidance,
Is the orthodox Church,
The house of angels and soldiers,
The house of the Christian nation.

[Living] water is available in Her,
For the salvation of humanity,
As mentioned in the Song of Songs,
The homilies and the Didascalia.

The mother is joyful in her children,
When they are thirsty, she quenches them,
Their vessels are always full,
The dwellers in her are given drink.

Refrain:
Blessed are those who have mercy,
Who give to the poor and fast and pray,
The Holy Spirit will fill their hearts,
The Son will show them mercy on Judgment Day.

Wazboo `alal kanayes wat-lool qera-aat,
Wa dooqqoo soodoorookoom fel salawat,
Wa ay ensan la ya-hebbe a-khah,
Fahwa ka-en fe wastel zoolmat.

Qawlel ra-sa-el ya mahla,
A-laz men shah-del khalayat,
Bolos radde behee koole `o-sat,
Ahrar we `abeed zookoor wa e-nath.

Bet el-`ebada wal ershad,
Al bee-`al or-so-zok-seya,
Bet el-malayka wal-agnad,
Bet el-oommal noosra-neya,

Mawdoo lana feeha ma-aa we zaad,
Le aglee khalas el-basha-reya,
Yazkoor `anha nasheed el-anshad,
Fel ma-wa-´ez wal doosqooleya.

Oommel awlad tafrah bel-baneen,
Ya-koonoo ´a-ta-sha tarweehem,
Wa aw´e-yataha dayman malyaneen,
Wal qa-emeena feeha tasqeehem.

Refrain:
Toba lil-rohama a`la masakeen,
Fa-en el-rahama tehele a´lehom,
Will-masih yerham-hom fe yom el-deen,
We yehel broh qodso fehom.
