The Commentary :: Ⲉ̀ⲧⲁ Ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ϣⲉ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ :: الطرح

Watos:

When Christ came to His holy Disciples on the evening of the honored day of His Resurrection,

all the Disciples were gathered together except Thomas, who is called the Twin.

Therefore, his fellow Disciples said to him, “We have seen Jesus Christ and have believed in His Resurrection.” So Thomas said to them, “Unless I see the Lord and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”

And after eight days, the Disciples were gathered together and Thomas with them. Our Master Jesus Christ came to them, and said, “Peace to you, my honored Disciples.” So when the Disciples saw Him, they rejoiced with great joy and the fear that was overshadowing them because of the Jews, left them.

The Savior said to Thomas, “O my beloved and chosen one, zealous for the truth, come, reach your hand here and put it into My side; look at the place of the spear, and the marks of the nails into my hands and feet, with which the Jews nailed me [to the Cross]. Do not be unbelieving, but believing that I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God; I have risen from the dead.” So Thomas answered and said, “My Lord and my God, I believe that You are Christ the Son of God, indeed.” The Savior then said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed because of hearing only.”

Thus, we the Christians have believed in Your lordship, and we have confessed Your Resurrection, and have said, “Christ is risen from the dead, by death He trampled death, and He granted eternal life to those who were in the tombs.”

To Him is the glory forever. Amen.

Adam:

O believers, come with diligence. Unite with us in this scene and observe Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God, and the Logos, who came from the highest, and performed miracles and wonders just by utterance, showing His divine might. The Jews have delivered Him out of envy and crucified Him on a tree and He died on the Cross. Thus, they wrapped His body and put Him in a tomb. Those who do not have grace, said, “He will not rise.” Yet, the Mighty One has risen from the dead and the Powerful One has woken up from His sleep.

Christ our God has risen from the dead at the dawn of Sunday, His Disciples observed His Resurrection, and He commanded them to preach His name to all of creation under heaven.

He also commanded Peter His disciple, whom He called the Rock of Faith, to shepherd His sheep, those young and old, and the elders and youth, with equality among the flock, when He said to him, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He said to Him, “Shepherd My flock. Simon, I have purchased them with My blood. Not by the blood of oxen nor the blood of bulls, but My own blood that I have shed for their sake, and I have chosen them from among all the nations. Therefore, shepherd them in life-giving pastures and when I come, I will double your reward.”
