Let us entreat the Lord, God, the Pantocrator, the Father of our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ—

فلنطلب من الرب الإله ضابط الكل، أبو ربنا وإلهنا ومخلصنا يسوع المسيح.
I, Your servant (…), son of the apostles and preacher in the world like all my fathers, with the honor of the Coming of Your only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ into the world, and His Incarnation of the Virgin Saint Mary, and the Baptism of salvation, and His life-giving passion on the Cross which He accepted willingly for us, and His holy Resurrection.

أنا عبدك (...)، إبن الرسل، المبشِّر في المسكونة مثل جميع أبائي، بكرامة مجئ إبنك الوحيد الجنس يسوع المسيح إلى العالم، وتجسده من العذراء القديسة مرتمريم، وإعتماد الخلاص، وآلامه المحيية التي قَبِلَها بإرادته عنا على الصليب، وقيامته المقدسة.
This is our confession in His Christ, and our confirmation in the orthodox faith which we have received from all our fathers.

تملأني من كل فهم وكل حكمة ورأفة وإستقامة اليد اليمنى على عبدك (...) الذي أدعوه إلى الرسالة والخدمة والكهنوت وتحسبني معه في نصيب قديسيك بالمسيح يسوع ربنا.

Bishop:
O our good God, who appointed Heman and Asaph to chant in Your holy places.

الأسقف:
يا إلهنا الصالح، الذي أقام هيمان وآساف للترتيل في مواضعك المقدسة.
O You who granted David the prophet to chant with the psaltery, the harp, and the lyre with ten strings.

يا مَنْ أعطيت داود النبي أن يرتل على المزمار والقيثار والعشرة أوتار.
O You who have said, "Out of the mouths of babes and nursing infants, You have perfected praise."

يا مَنْ قُلْتَ "من أفواه الأطفال والرضعان هيأت سُبْحاً."
O You who established praise in Your holy Church that Your people may worship You with psalms, chants, and spiritual songs.

يا مَنْ وَضَعَتَ التسبيح في كنيستك المقدسة، وأن يعبدك شعبك بمزامير وتراتيل وأغاني روحية.
We ask You, O Lord, to give Your grace to these, Your servants, so that they may do the labor of the Psaltos (the chanter) in Your holy Church and sing to You with hymns, chants, and spiritual songs—chanting from their hearts to the Lord, by the grace, compassion, and love-of-mankind of Your only-begotten Son, our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ.

نسألك يا رب أن تعطي نعمتك لعبيدك هؤلاء ليعملوا عمل الإبصلتس في كنيستك المقدسة ويغنوا لك بألحان وتراتيل وأغاني روحية، مرتلين من قلوبهم للرب، بالنعمة والرأفات ومحبة البشر اللواتي لإبنك الوحيد ربنا وإلهنا ومخلصنا يسوع المسيح.

We ask You, O Lord, to grant Your servants the grace of praise and chanting in the holy Church.

Grant them the ability to chant with good understanding, so that they may chant to You from the depth of their hearts in the spirit of prayer and worship.

أعطهم فهماً حسناً لما يرتلون به، فيرتلون لك من عمق قلوبهم بروح الصلاة والعبادة.
Grant that they may serve You with their hearts, their mouths, and their hymns, and accept their chants as a sweet savor of incense before You.

أعطهم أن يخدموك بقلوبهم وأفواههم وألحانهم، وإقبل تراتيلهم كرائحة بخور قدامك.
Remove from them the spirit of pride, boasting, and love of vainglory.

Shine on them with the sweetness of Your holy words.

أضئ عليهم بحلاوة أقوالك المقدسة.
Grant them to chant spiritual praises with understanding.

هب لهم أن يرتلوا بفهم تسابيح روحانية.
May they become worthy to begin [their service] in faithfulness and worship You in understanding and purity.

وليستحقوا أن يبتدئوا بأمانة ويتعبدوا لك بالعقل والطهارة.
Sanctify them, bless them, and fill them with Your fear.
Ⲙⲁⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟϥ ⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ ⲙⲁϩϥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲕϩⲟϯ.
قدسهم، باركهم، إملاهم من مخافتك.
Guard them with Your angelic power.
