The Great Schism refers to the split of the Church of Rome and the Church of Constantinople in the year 1054. The split was because of the filioque or the dogma of the procession of the Holy Spirit from the Father and the Son. The Church of Rome added the words "and the Son" to Who proceeds from the Father in the Creed. Constantinople rejected the addition and so the Schism.

Yes, we do not have the Filioque in our creed. That was in fact the Split between the Church of Rome and the Eastern Orthodox Churches as we know them today.
