In John 20:16 which is part of the Easter liturgy reading, it says Mary Magdelane said, "Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). " Why is that last part there??? Isn't the whole bible translated from another language? why isn't it just Teacher. The same with the Good Friday reading when Jesus says Eloi Eloi.... Was that in the original text of the bible or is the translation of the translation added into the translations? Hope you understood what i said...I confused my self :P

The phrases are in aramaic (the language our Lord spoke on Earth) and the Gospel-writers (who wrote in Greek) transliterated it into Greek and then wrote what it meant.

So why did they keep the original word in it?
