Why are these verses against repentance!? Are they about us or...

Okay, first off, here are the verses...
Hebrews 6:4-6
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew repentance, since they crucify for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Is this saying we can't repent or that the angels who were in Heaven and fell and are now devils can't repent??

  • It’s a hyperbolic warning concerning the consequences of those who apostatize from the faith, indicating the relative difficulty of repenting from such error – so it’s not to be taken literally.
  • i think its saying that as a way to keep you away from sin in the first place. like we all know when we sin if we truely repent we can come back, but if we think we cant come back than we will do more than we can if we know we can come back. i know that seems to make no sense, and maybe it doesn't, just thinking aloud here.....
