We cant have a father??

See Matthew 23:9
Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.

so wht, we are not allowed to call our biological father, father?

    i think the verse means you can't call your earthly father "father", but you cant have a father like the one in heaven, God...

    MarMar91, the versus refers to God. Like when you say by the name of the Father, the Son and the Holly Spirit. Do you refer to your biological father? Of course not, Father refers to God. Likewise father in Mathew 23:9 refers to God. It means don't take another God beside your God in heaven.

    Your dad is your dad, the head of the household, not your God
