i read in some book that selah in psalms mazameer were not just normal instramental bits, they were put to make u feel what u say like read each psalm and come to where it says "selah" and u will find that it is in the places where it get u to really think emotionally

i can't really remember but it was in one of H.H.Pope Shenoda's books

mnc_hnn is right, in the previous thread all that was mentioned is that 'Selah' represents a musical note, which is pretty useless to us. It is also translated as 'Pause' or 'silence' and is used to indicate that the reader is to stop and think about/ reflect on what he just read. That was not mentioned in the previous thread before it was closed
