Can someone please explain to me Romans 2:25 ?

And did the jews before Christ believe that gentiles could be saved without circumcision of the flesh and without joining the congregation of jews IF they obeyed the natural law (?) in their hearts (?) ?

  • these verses talk of the Gods' Judgement.

St Paul is saying that just because you are a jew does not guarantee you anything, that is the Kingdom of Heaven. it is saying that God will judge impartially and will look at ones deeds.

therefore you can say, contemporarily, just because we are baptised and therefore christians, does not guarantee us a trip to Heaven on judgment day.

we must also act as Christians and obey Gods commandments.

so its not enough to just be a christian you must be a practicing christian.

    hope this helps

(by the way this is not just my interpretation i actually read this in a book - so the likelihood of it being correct are significantly increased !!!! :P)

everyone who was anyone before Christ went straight to hades because the doors os paradise were closed. than after Christ's death, who ever was worthy of entering the kingdom of God was pulled by Christ's hand out of the sea of death and was raised up to paradise.
that's just what happend but to really answer your quesion, you should ask God on the last day because it does go back to God's judgment at that day. :)
