Peace and Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I have been hearing some discussion from different people in the Church and would like to validate. I overheard that the Church issued a decree that hymns of the general funeral [Palm Sunday] should not be chanted is sad tunes?!! Is that true?

    If the general funeral is held right after the Liturgy of palm sunday then yes that is what the pope said. He said its still the day of Palm sunday so the rite is still joyful. He also said that the funeral should be held later when the rites of holy week kick in and then it is haza3ny. The video is on the main page of this website.

    i have to say though that this is not a "full decree" yet. this was what the pope said in his meeting (on the video of the home page) and that's what most of the church did for last year and this year untill this becomes a full decree by the Synod soon.
