And remember one thing. It's a lot easier to stop this at an early age. If you are careless and keep on doing this sin in secret then it will become like a disease and the habit will become so strong like a strong massive tree instead of a puney little weed that you can pull out.
So try get rid of it early by praying, regular confession and guidance from your priest, and regular holy communion. God Bless (Send me a private message if you want more resources, articles, sermons, video clips about how to overcome this temptation)
Take practical steps (besides praying and spiritual counselling etc):
-if you feel tempted, go sit with members of ur house instead of sneaking out to go on a computer. -Install programs to block these sites, choose a very difficult password with numbers etc and then throw away the password once u set up everything. -Fill your time and head with good things, serve, pray, learn hymns, read spiritual books, keep up with your studies to be occupied and you'll feel your need for other things will diminish gradually. -Learn the art of postponing sin. The devil always makes us postpone the spiritual/beneficial things in our life, use it against him. Everytime you feel u want to sin, tell urself, i'll postpone for just one more day. By the time the next day comes, your desire might have decreased, you might be occupied with something, you might have prayed or read the bible in the mean time so that God sends you grace to overcome. It works quite well.
May God help you overcome this spiritual disease of this age.

Hey my friend,
that's very good advice.. i was trying that with other sins that I struggle with.. like screaming at bad drivers etc.. I just hold my temper for a bit more and then the urge to shout at them dies down.
if you need help ... go to click here .. this website blocks not only porn .. but other dangerous stuff our church prevent us from seeing ..... drugs and alcoholic stuff .
you have to make an account .. so make it block it on your home and even other computers in the house and forget your password .
We have to remember that satan was once an archangel. He had power over the dominions, powers, and thrones! When he sinned, his power remained with him. He is the KING of deceiving, lying, and sneaking! He has more followers on earth than our Lord! (I'm not saying he is more powerful!) Do you really think we can outsmart him using our own intellect? Satan just breathes, not even blows, and we fall and break. The only thing stopping him from destroying the whole world (which he almost did once, back in Noah's time) is the Power of the Holy Spirit inside us. Our Lord, Jesus Christ is the ONLY power that can defeat satan. No offense Hos Erof, but practical advice won't trick the most powerful evil that ever existed ;)
If you truly want to get rid of a sin, you must hate it. To hate a sin, you must repent with all your heart. If you see yourself returning to the same sin, then you don't hate it, therefore you have not truly repented.
Pray with all your heart and ask the Lord to teach you true repentance, so that you can say with our church fathers 'satan has not tricked me into falling in the same sin twice'. Ask Him to take away from you every evil and affliction of the enemy. Ask Him to guide you in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
I did lol,I just don't want people thinking practical steps can replace prayer/spiritual counseling. You should change the word "besides" to "along with" :p
I didn't mean to trash talk Hos Erof's post. He gave really good advice, but we must remember that if our hearts aren't close to the Lord then we are only fooling ourselves when taking practical steps.

I say this to myself before any of you.
