Peace, I just want to let you know that there is a convent for nuns in Warren Ohio. it is the first convent for nuns in the USA.  :)

    The name is Saint Mary & St John the beloved convent
    there are 2 tasonis are living there serving the people when they come to visit or for retreats.
    there is no website yet for the Convent, it is coming soon,

    Why is the convent in Ohio calling themselves the first in America? I've seen brochures and pamphlets saying the same. Is it because the one in Florida isn't technically a convent, but rather a retreat center?

    The Southern Diocese, and the apertaining website for the Florida facility, identify specifically:  "The First Convent in North America" ....2006.

    Peace mrm, are you sure that it is in Warren Ohio? Abouna told us (my fellow deacons and I ) that it is in Youngstown, and Abouna is actually going there tommorow, sadly I will not get the chance to join him but I'll be one of the deacons that accompany him to help conduct the mass
