Hi From Australia

Hey :)

I always land here on google and thought that ive been just looking for too long and its about time that I join...
You all seem very nice and friendly.

I am a coptic orthodox girl and my family and I live in Australia and currently go to st Anthony and st Paul's coptic orthodox church.
Anyone here from Australia too?

    How is it that St. Anthony is before St. Paul in the naming of your church?

    That's typically the case. If a church is named after Abba Antony and Abba Paul, Abba Antony is named first. This is also the case in the hymn 'Pi-Nishti'.

    St Paul is an Apostle, St. Anthony is not.
    Apostles supersede monks--even St. Anthony.

    Pinishti and St. Anthony is a totally different issue.
    St. Anthony is crowned as the Father of Monasticism.
    This gives him the hierarchical presence in the chant.
