How long Jesus lived

i know that he lived 33 years but in my history class yesterday our teacher said that jesus was born 6 BCE and died 30 CE.

which one is right?

    By Ecclesiastical account it is 33 and 1/3 years.

    By the calenday d'jour it is from 2 BC, 3 BC, 4BC, etc.

    No one can give an exact reckoning.

    What we do know is that He did not die of old age.

    The most common time scholars date the birth of Christ is 4 BCE and they date His death around 30 CE.

    Nowhere explicitly. Rather, you can determine it from reading the Gospels. According to St. Luke, Christ did not begin His ministry until He was 30. From St. John's Gospel we see that He celebrated Passover 3 times (or 3 years). That's where we get 33 years.
