Teoi En Hikanos

Hello,

I recently heard a different version of Teoi En Hikanos while in New Jersey. Its only the 2 first verses that are changed and have a longer tune, but it is not the great Teoi En Hikanos. It is only about 2 minutes long both verses. I want to know if this is a real hymn or if it is made up.

It is also sung at Saint Mary's East Brunswick the same way. Teooi en hiiii-iiikanos....

Although I am very good friends with Abouna Anastasi and all the monks their at St. Anthonys Monestary. It is not really a main source, is their any other recordings by different cantors?

My understanding is that the tune changes only in fasts, including the long version.. correct me if I'm wrong.. thanks

only the great one. There is the fast Teoi.....then there what i may call mohayyar which is the way we are talking about here, then there is the long one which is recorded by almost everyone. THOSE are recorded in annual sets by many sources. they are to be said anytime. The great one however was only recorded in the kiahk set.
