quick question: anyone know why we commemorated the same saints yesterday (thursday) and on tuesday? (according to the synaxarium on this site?)

You are mistaken, unfortunately. On the twenty forth day of Baremhat, we commemorated the departure of Anba Macarius, the fifty ninth Pope of Alexandria, while on the twenty seventh day of Baremhat, we commemorated the departure of St. Macarius the great(who is the one you mean)
