Hi,

I just wanted to ask about some priests that I can no longer find their names under the Diocese of Southern USA:

1) Fr. Isaac Soliman
2) Fr. Ekladious Khalil
3) Fr. Ephraim Michael
4) Fr. Daniel Eshak
5) Fr. Ibrahim Girgis

I was just wondering if they are serving in other dioceses or returned to Egypt or retired???

If anyone can help with any information it would be great

Thanks

  • Do priests retire?
  • I think they do if they are elderly or sick to the extent that they can't serve the liturgy (e.g paralysed or unsteady hands, etc). They are basically still priests but inactive in terms of administering the church affairs. It's a grey area as far as I know and there is no official retirement age like other orthodox churches or the catholic church.
