Daily office

Could anyone tell me, is there a "Daily Rule" within the Coptic church day of a Monk, much like that The Rule of St Benedict? If so, where might one find it?

Im aware of the writings of the Fathers, just unsure if this would be the same as the question im asking.

Other than the communal liturgical services, all of them that should be prayed in the church, each have their own canon with the guidance their Abbott of the monastery or the specific father to that monk. It's not exactly written out and it's for sure not the same.

You can also find the book of hours - also known as the agpeya. Monks are typically required, with the guidance of their father of confession, to pray the entirety of it each day - it is mainly a prayer book based on the psalms and some biblical texts. You can find a digital copy here:

We should not try to emulate the rule of a monk if we are not a monk, and those of us who are married and live in the world have our own vocation which we serve under the guidance of our own spiritual fathers. Those of us who are married cannot become monks and should not imagine ourselves to be monks, but we can and should become spiritual men and women.

Thank you for the links. Hard copy requires, so i think more purchases to get a delivery, due to cost of the prayer book being low. I will source another book to see if it will accept the order.

I've downloaded the app, set some timers, so will see how that works.

Seems to work quite well.
