when u see a cross and look at it..what does it mean to you and what goes through your mind when u think about the cross??

    When I look at the cross I see love. Love that is beyond what words can ever say or describe. Love that is difficult to understand. Why would God do so for me, me, the one who hurts Him everyday and pierces His Heart by my sins. But when I think about it, I realize, He did this because His very essence is love, God is composed of love, when you look inside His heart, you will find He is the greatest love, that ever was, ever is, and ever will be. If you listen to His heart beating, you will hear it beating with beats of love for the whole world.

    The cross brings tears to my eyes, just thinking of how much God did for us, how much He loves us, but we dont even deserve His love. God who is the King of kings and Lord of Lords, died for my sake, I, who is nothing but dust.

    wow, that is soo deep and beautiful. as one of the preists in the midwest says, the heart is not the symbol of love, the cross is. i completely agree!!!

    The Holy Cross, like PrincessMary said, means the strongest and most merciful kind of love beyond anyone's imagination, it reached to the point where Christ carried all of our sins on it. It reached to the point where he was whipped and disrespected for us when he was the Holy Son of God, the person who is praised by the Cherubiem and the Seraphim (sry for the spelling) in the highest heavens.

    when i see it! when i SEE it with not my eyes! but with my heart when i really see it u know like in my skewl there's a cross in every class and u know it's like wow omg! when i'm dispaired i just look at it it makes a REALLY BIG difference! loads of times it comes 2 the bit that my eyes water :'(

    *The young child seeks enthrallment; the desire for the"wow" feeling.
    *The older youth seeks Truth and purpose within life
    *The young adult seeks romance in life
    *The older sdult seeks security

    Through the Cross:

    Christ's very perserverance to travel the pathway of suffering and the very power within His Spirit enthralls the mind. His very defintion of Himself as the only way to life was His absolute Truth. The beneficence and love he demonstrated in His sacrafice provided the greatest romance story in existence. Finally, His very promise for our perpetual abode within His kingdom was the incorruptible security of our existence.

    Nowhere in history has the very facets of meaning so coalessed together in such profound ascetheticism as when one looks upon the humility and glory of the Cross.

    I agree with Centupinhereyo in that the cross means salvation and I think that this is the most important part about it. For our salvation shows us how God loves us to the point that He sacrificed His own son Jesus Christ to save our souls. This is so that we may be with God in the Kingdom of Heaven forever and for all eternity and that I believe is the greatest expression of love from God.

    when i look at the cross I see his pain, and shame comes over me as i realized that i'm the one that put him up there he did it for me and me alone
