I may have already made many posts.. I hope its not annoying to others..

Are sneers sinful?

This is from the book Diabolic Wars by H.H Pope Shenouda III

"
1. A sin hidden in the guise of virtue:
How easy it is for the devil to offer you some sins under
different names, in a style which can be easily accepted so
that sins become disguised as virtues.
As the Lord has said, "... come to you in sheep's clothing, but
inwardly they are ravenous wolves." (Matt 7:15)
Mocking or sneering at people is introduced as gentleness and
courteousness, affection, familiarity, wittiness and an attempt at
humour.
"

Maybe I thought sneers were funny and I thought its friendly to use (?) one or something..

    I also want to ask if it is wise to give some poor person money who wanted to sell you a stolen product? not buying the stolen product but just giving money free..

    That depends. If they stole because they were desperately poor and wanted money to feed themselves and their family, it would be a charitable act.

    If it was to feed a drug habit, it would not be such a good idea.

    well when you're giving him the money you don't know what he's going to use the money for. you're giving him the money with good intentions and you hope that God helps him to use the money wisely
