Resource Conservation

Hey guys,

I was thinking the other day about how the whole world is trying to conserve natural resources like wild animals and trees, and I thought: how does the church view all this?

I know that in the Bible, God gave the earth and everything within it to man out of His love for us. So would resource conservation be a bad thing?

God gave us nature so we could use it not abuse it. Our excessive use of things such as fossil fuels and non-renewable energy, is not only immoral but unhealthy and very dangerous to the environment.

I would probably think that conversion of nature is not the issue but genetically modifing nature is total corruption...
