Hi 10theeno!
Do i have a treat for you. The late Ragheb Moftah's entire library of recordings has been in the hands of the Library of Congress for some decades now, and they're all digitally available here: https://www.loc.gov/collections/coptic-o…
@Alamanak it's not so much a matter of intellect, as one side (Israel) exerting all their efforts towards displacing another (Palestine), even if it means genocide. That's what makes this all the more tragic- the Israeli government knows exactly wha…
St. Augustine and St. Gregory of Nyssa have both written extensive commentaries on specific psalms, as have other early church fathers, so I'd suggest looking there.
"Seventh Seal" by Ingmar Bergman is a film with strong Christian themes, as the title itself implies. It is also a fantastic film, but might be a bit too old-fashioned for the kids (1957).
"Parasite" by Bong Joon-ho is beautiful and deals directly …
@Justice what are you on about? Christians have been the dominant religious group in America since its inception. If anything, it is they who disallow others to speak their mind through dangerous and often absurd policies.
@Remnkemi homophobia is a …
@minatasgeel the idea of separating church and state has been around since the Reformation if not earlier. Separating the two means religious institutions don't get to meddle in laws used to govern society, which has always been a part of the equati…
@minatasgeel it's not an either/or thing. Marriage can be civil, religious or both depending on a country's laws and customs. The church and state are indeed separate now in most countries. Perhaps this is for the better.

@Basil thank you for your suggestion! I did have a look at the ancient faith Psalter, but as of now it is out of my price range. I ended up ordering the King James version as it is cheaper and still looks nice, albeit the language is outdated. Maybe…
@mabsoota i already pray from the Agpeya, which is indeed nice! but i was hoping to get a separate copy of the psalms so i could take it anywhere & just focus on them...
lol good point @CopticBoy101.
@ItalianCoptic you're very right, i'm probably overthinking it too much. But why the 3rd hour? Please forgive me for all the questions, everyone!
Thank you @mabsoota and @CopticBoy101! I understand that those are the hours, but what if, e.g. i happen to be awake past midnight? would i then pray the 12th hour or the midnight hour?
Thanks for the response!
had no idea it could've been so many things, and I'm certainly not inclined to believe it was the third option, as I'm certainly not doing as much as I could/should be.This is the second time its happened though, hence why I…
