I've found personally and practically, that simply recalling my most embarrassing moments [not the funny ones either,] or my lowest points, more than enough to quell my ego. Specially the kind of situations that one usually avoids recalling, or cringes when he does.

Whenever you feel proud, do a few metanias to get your self back in the track.
