Did anyone hear about the killing of monks in the St. Macarius monestary in Egypt, and the butchering of a priest in front of his family in Assiut. I just don't know if these are true.
I personally haven't heard about the monk who's killed, but the Monastary of Anba Bishoy was under attack by the army and a number of people (not monks) there got shot. The slain of abouna Dawoud Botros is in fact true. He was not killed in front of his family but he was alone in his apartment.
Muslims are the cancer of the earth and we should pray that God will deal with those blinded and scared muslim extremist. I say scared because they can't defend their faith with words because it makes no sense and they know it, but they ignorantly force themselves to accept it and they go kill people because they can't defend the words said against them in a logical way so they must do the illogical in order to seem logical to themselves psychologically. May God have mercy on His people. God never leaves His people and He is always with us.
Unfortunately the army seems to have made another attack on a monastery in Wadi Natrun only yesterday - thankfully somebody recorded the whole thing:
Warning: there is a bit of blood (nothing too graphic), as two of the Copts gathered in the monastery were shot. They are OK apparently, but still in hospital.
From what I've read, the monks called the army during the revolution and asked for protection, because looters where coming and damaging the monastery (six monks were injured in these attacks) but the army told them to defend themselves until the crisis was over. So, they built a wall with a gate around the monastery, which is technically illegal to do for some reason - and so the army came back and demolished it.
Even though, apparently the army has apologised for its actions in the above video - one of the generals is said to have visited the wounded in hospital and apologised for the actions of the 'rogue' officers who conducted the attack.
