The problem is that there are literally hundreds of spam accounts created automatically every day, and there are thousands of accounts to be checked and generally deleted. Whenever I visit the site I am always deleting spammers who are in the process of creating accounts. I have just spent some time checking and deleting over a thousand accounts and there are still 4000 to be checked, probably for only about 20 real accounts.

The easiest way to fight computer SPAM is with computer anti-SPAM  ;D
