Sick of rude shows

I am sick of tv shows taking sexual immorality lightly. People can't just make sexual jokes and think this is something small.

It is sad that some of these people could have been better but now they seem to be lost. I pray that they return to their original state and be able to completely regret their sins

If they continue this way perhaps they deserve to be lost or perish if they can not be made righteous

I am afraid after making so many sins people will never be able to regret these sins truly.

I am also sick of these sins being taken lightly in public.

I may enter some bars with my friends and I am not responsible for people going astray and I hope people learn to be ashamed of these sins and look upon the cruicified christ for salvation. It is time the whole world repents

I don't want to see adult stuff anywhere on the internet or tv if I come by it by accident. It is not enough to accept christ but you must strive to enter through the narrow gate and bear fruit worthy of repentance

This world needs to learn to blush for their sins.

perhaps this post just makes the world even worse but I think the church should be able to comment on this

Simple solution: Don't watch those shows.

No I will watch any show if there is benefit. I will not watch the shows if noone from church watches them
Do not be overly righteous lest you destory yourself

What sort of benefit do these shows have? There is no benefit from these shows, they should not be watched.

Ppl in the church should not be your benchmark. Christ and the Church itself should be your benchmark, not merely following what others in the church may do. I'm sure there are many ppl in the church who don't watch these shows for the same reasons you are aggrieved by them.

There's no such thing as being overly righteous. Christ did not sin - he is the most righteous of all - so how can you say that someone very righteous will destroy themselves?

Often times I watch certain shows, generally movies like Religilous or The Root of all Evil. They are not good for us to watch, however, I like to refute their claims, therefore I watch them. But I recommend that if these kind of things stumble you, do not watch them but ask your priest or deacon about them. There are a couple of shows that I watch that are probably harmless but still have a lot of nonsense. I like the office because it is funny, most of the times it is tasteful. I love the show "survivor" but it has a lot of drama on there, but I think I love it because it is a strategy game based on survival, and I love survival. But I also keep everything in perspective while watching it. I do not become engrossed in these shows and certainly make sure my spiritual life outweighs the amount of time I spend watching these types of shows.

For the past couple years, I was blessed by not having a personal TV in college. And let me tell you, it has helped a lot, particularly in the sin of lust, and in making me more productive and have more time to read the Bible and religious books. If you can live without a TV I would definitely recommend it.

The people who say not to watch these shows better seek to welcome the stranger and accept him otherwise do not judge I know u will not like

Just like u give your children dvds of programs their age to make them learn and integrate with others so u must give older people things of their age

I decided I am going to spend most my time at church and making money and if I see all the youth talking a lot about things in the world such as tv I will see what to do after that

This is not a balanced lifestyle, you need a social life too

Get over it many know foc are not very convenient and we have father Peter here as well my foc told me to watch tv shows for he pitied me when I moaned about not being able to socialise every time I see him I talk about this
