Are we supposed to be saying the hiten and litany for Anba Pakhomious until a new pope is chosen?

    You can either say the part with ambassador paghomius (tell me if u need the words) or just skip the part for the pope and just say the part for the bishop.

    no we arent " you are a priest forever according to the order of melchisadek" thats wat the psalm says he is the pope until a new pope is chosen and you cant say penoit because anba pakhomoius isnt our father he wasnt ordained our metropolitan. the replacement is not a different or new rank

    ALL OF CLERGY other than deacons are OUR FATHERS. We say the same for saints.
    "The order of Melchizedek" is an order of priesthood similar to the order of Aaron and his children and their priesthood in the old testament. Jesus is the HIGH PRIEST of the order of Melchizedek, the pope the high priest of the order of Melchizedek on earth and all clergymen are ordained in the order of Melchizedek.
