Simply splendid! Just beautiful! I can’t believe these were constructed 7 & 8 centuries ago. Can you imagine how many years it took to finish them? It is a true labor of love.
Servos, please keep on posting more of Serbian monasteries & other heritages. I specially love the arial views.

Not to much because these monasteries are build by saint and pious Serbian kings. Zhicha building started in 1206 and was finished in 1221 Studenitsa building started 1190 and was finished 1196.
Have in mind that Serbian monasteries were constantly badly damaged during history by Muslims. Most of the churches and monasteries are lost. For example just in Kosovo province there is about 1.300 medieval churches and monasteries we know who are never rebuilded again, and who knows how much more who are not listed. Turks and Albanians destroyed them and Serbs rebuilded some of them. That is the reason why some objects you see are at level zero, why there is different styles at one building, and why frescos are now in bad condition. Zhicha was bombarded in II World War by Germans too.
