I just read this news article . It says that Christian women also do this:

I know muslims do this, but surely this is inhumane?

Have Coptic bishops spoken out against this?? No doubt it's probably some balady Christian villages who are more sa3eedy than Christian , but someone has to educate them.

Bishops and Imam from the Azhar always spoke against this. They specifically clarify that it has nothing todo with either faiths.

Christians do not practice this barbaric self mutilation. Muslims do however, and on a wide scale, and El Azhar influence has been greatly diminished in the last decade.
