So, for example, I've heard that there is no manuscript remaining from Ephesus II and some parts of Ephesus III, and the only record remaining of Ephesus III is it the same guy that translated the remaining manuscripts of Ephesus III? Or was it John of Ephesus?
I recently learned there was a terrible plague in the time of Justinian I, but... I'm confused. Where are the manuscripts? I've heard the Ethiopian church traces it's roots back to the Eunoch St. Philip baptized. Is it an oral tradition?
Or, again, what is the Coptic canon regarding Ephesus II, Ephesus III, and according to whom?
Does that make sense?
