The Holy Synod approved two Fraction prayers to be prayed during the Liturgies on the Feasts and in the Fast of St. Mary. I have them in Arabic and it would be good to have them translated to english so they could be spread and used more widely. Links below are to images of the Arabic text.
Does anyone know of these two fractions are an older recension that might have been prayed irregularly in some churches and not in others? Are they from the Ethiopian recension? Or from a Coptic manuscript? Or were they newly composed?
@cyril I believe that at least one of these fractions (I don't know which - can't read Arabic) was written by HG Bishop Raphael. So that one is definitely not ancient.
I already did. And I almost finished translating. When I have it ready, I'll share and comment. It has easily become my favorite Coptic fraction. I'll explain soon.

Here is a recording of Bishop Raphael praying this fraction: https://soundcloud.com/stmarkscopticchurchmelb/fraction-to-st-mary-by-anba
Thanks!
So we know the second fraction is written by Anba Raphael? Can anyone who reads Arabic please confirm who wrote the first fraction?
