2015 CALL FOR PAPERS
The doctrine of the Trinity constitutes the foundation of Christian faith. In many ways, by looking and participating in the blueprint of Trinitarian life, Christians know and experience the real meaning of living according to the image and likeness. Modern discussions have re-ignited the interest in Trinitarian theology and its implications for a postmodern society. However, many Christians are still finding difficulty in speaking about the doctrine of the Trinity and many theologians fall short of articulating the orthodox teachings on the Trinity while preserving the unity of the Godhead. Therefore, there is a pressing need now more than ever to present the doctrine of the Trinity in a modern outlook that presents the classical understanding of the Trinity while addressing modern scholarly issues and its far extending practical implications.
Scholars, theologians and students are invited to submit paper proposals for this year’s theme of the Alexandria School Journal on the doctrine of the Trinity. The Journal is looking to engage with constructive articles that address the doctrine of the Trinity in all its aspects whether philosophical, biblical, liturgical, patristic, dogmatic, or practical. Writers are encouraged to engage with implications of the Trinity on sociopolitical, scientific, technological, and inter-faith discussions and other topics including diversity and individualism. Abstracts of no more than 200 words should be sent to
[email protected] before April 15th, 2015. An acceptable paper will be approximately 3500-5000 words. Papers must be sent by June 1st, 2015. The Journal will be published by July 15th, 2015. For more information please visit
