i was waiting for an online mtg (no one else joined) so was looking at this great website to pass the time.

there i saw the 'sunday diving liturgy'!

"Sunday Diving Liturgy." I could fill a book with the grammatical errors I've seen from Pope Shenounda's books. I am horrible at Arabic, so it's hard to judge. At least they didn't use the word "Mass".

they changed it now to 'Divine liturgy'.

it originally said 'diving liturgy'!

it reminded me of the time i was looking for a new mattress and the lady in the shop asked me if i wanted an orthodox bed.

i laughed and said that would be great for going to church in, but perhaps she meant an orthopaedic bed! (firmer mattress, good for your back)

or do a search on other posts by that lady who is from the same diocese as me, she and her group have done some very good translations (you may have to cope with a bit of british spelling!)

italiancoptic - if you would like to get his books in a better translation, i know a translator and can find out a link where you can see what books are available in good english.
