As you probably gathered from my name that I have a Greek connection. Yes, my mother is Greek (Orthodox also knows as Roman Orthodox) and my father is Coptic.
If you truely want to learn Coptic, I would suggest that you learn Greek first. Once you muster the Greek language then Coptic is a dodle.
Enrole at a local Greek evening class, attend a Greek church service, etc... and you will see that "christos anesty", "chrisalison", etc... will not only come naturally but you will also know what they mean.
