Psalm 150

Why are we not allowed to play other instruments during the liturgy other than the def and the triangle, even though David said in Psalm 150 to praise God on all various types of instruments?

    this goes not only for psalm 150 but for all hymns in our church. We choose to use our voice as a sacrifice and not let some instrument make sounds because our bodies are temples for the holy spirit in the new testament. It doesnt mean that its wrong to do so, but in our liturgical practises we dont use other instruments than the voice, because this is what our tradition teaches us. Its kinda like how the catholic church uses instruments and statues, and we dont. Neither is wrong or right, but its just another practise.

    As for the def, its just an aid to correct the beat so that all can sing with the same speed.
