Gregorian Liturgy - In what tone does the deacon end responses?

Hey guys, I was wondering when do deacons end responses such as "pray for perfect peace..." in the gregorian tone(think abouna during the prayer of reconciliation or JE nai nan's lord have mercy)? is it just how ever the priest ends it?
