Does anyone know of any websites that have information on Coptic monks, such as their lifestyle and all that they do??

    Your daily schedule depends on the type of monastery you go to.

    For example, a St. Antony type monastery would have you focus heavily on solitude.

    Just as severus said it depends on the monastery your in but most monasterys today follow similar paths:
    In the olden times, The monasterys of Scete were filled with monks who were under the care of a spiritual leader but all lived in solitude while the monasterys down south under Anba Pachomious lived a more communal life style were everyman had a job according ot his strenght and his capabilities.

    Why don't you check the synixarion book of saint and you will find alot about monks.

    Severus, honestly, i thought whatever monastery you go to, you do the same things. So what do monks in other monasteries besides St. Anthony's do?

    Monks in a St. Shenouda monastery, for example, go out and do public service. Monks in a Pakhomian monastery have a cenobitic routine.
