Well, I believe we all know that the Cross or Holy Bible is the symbol of the Coptic Christian religion, or better yet the Christian religion in general, but what are the symbols for other religions such as the Islamic religion. I know there is the qu'ran, but are the necklaces that the sheikh's hold like almost all the time, is that one of the symbols? Other religions would be greatly appreciated and grateful to learn a few things about, actually any religion!

The necklaces you were referring to are called "sibhas" or prayer beads, and they are made up of 33 or 99 beads. Muslims have 99 names for "Allah" and they recite them using the "sibha", or they can simply say stuff such as "Astakhfor Allah" "el Hamdilluah" etc.
Muslims don't believe there should be images representing "Allah" or Mohammed, their prophet, instead they use calligraphy, architechture and geometry as thier form of art. This is evident in just about any mosque one observes.

Buddhist have the Buddha as their symbol.
Confuscism utilizes the ying/yang.
The great thing about Christianity is that there are so many designs for the Holy Cross. I collect Crosses. They are just beautiful. There is a certain aspect of the different designs being a representation of different cultures and emphasis on different traditions.
The Muslims will also utilize caligraphy writing in certain short phrases to be adorned around the neck, such as: "Allah akbar".
