Is it called Mass or Liturgy??

What is the difference between a Mass and a Liturgy? And I hear that the correct term "we" as copts are supposed be using is Liturgy but what's the difference?

Well going to a Catholic School as a kid, i learned that their mass is divided into the:
Liturgy of the Word
and the
Liturgy of the Eucharist
I guess, this would techinically apply to us, as well.

I think why we call it Liturgy is because it differentiates our church from the catholics, lutherans and protestants (and maybe presbyterians) since we don't like copying other churches, if I'm not mistakened!!

well as i said in my previous post, and as in the other thread
Catholics use the term  Liturgy too, but in referall to the first and second parts of the "mass"
