I really recommend for everyone to watch the story of Anba Wanis, the truly amazing 12-year-old saint!! He is remarkable and outstanding, if you are missing something that you need urgently, pray through his intercession, he will find anything, here is his story: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7453243657401380686. Please take the time and watch it, it's amazing!!

  • Thanks, I really wanted to know more about him..

About two weeks ago, my mum and i returned from a trip in Egypt and we Arrived at the Australian airport to find that one of our bags were missing. We were worried about that bag from the start because it didn't have a lock on it and it was over-packed with HEAPS of things.. We thought it exploded and all our stuff got lost - it was a really likely senario. We prayed for the bag to come back, but it didn't and everyday we'd remember something new that was inside that bag.

One morning before I went to school, I found a picture of St Wanas in the midst of my books that my cousin gave me while i was in Egypt. I went to my mum and said, 'Look, this is that saint that finds lost stuff.' and she replied, 'edeelo nadr' [which i found out means donate him some money].. I laughed and said that i didn't have any money at the moment followed by, 'Dear Saint, Please find our bag and ask Jesus to bring it back to us,' almost as a joke... By then we'd lost hope in finding the bag.. I mean, It could've gone in any plane and ended up anywhere in the world.. and that's IF it stayed in one piece.

That very same day I got a call on my mobile while I was in a study lesson, I don't know what made me answer it [since i was in class], but i did and i found out that our bag would come home between 3 to 6 pm that same day..

I know losing a bag isn't really a big deal on the larger scale of things, but finding the bag and bringing it to us IS a big deal, especially after we'd given up hope.

I'm really looking foward to watching his movie :D

    thanks again.!
  • That (your) story is really awesome, ya the beginning when the lady had the surgery in the movie and the little girl went and got her a picture of Anba Wanis, and the bag was found, he is  extremely WONDERFUL!!

  • i saw that movie a few weeks ago!!! Oh My Gosh!! I cried!! that movie really touched my heart!! if u think about it!!! not many of us could actually do wut he did!!
  • Are you kidding me, with all these temptations surrounding us, of course we aren't capable of that high of spirituality, some are, but then again we have to realize that we may come close to spirituality and keep it high up there and all of a sudden it slips, temptation is every where. I don't know about anybody else, but I for one do not see myself in the near future as a holy person hah, just knowing that he was only approximately 12 years of age, and he suffered for our Lord like that, WOW, it makes me feel weak and I feel obliged to do evern more for Christ!!
