  • Buddy, Our Lord Jesus Christ is God. if He said it then God said it. There is no contradiction nor a difference.
  • :) i know ahah...what i mean is a verse not written in the four gospels...maybe in the epistles or the old testament
  • "I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins. Put Me in remembrance; let us contend together; state your case, that you may be acquitted." (Isaiah 43:25-26)

    "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus ..." (Romans 8:1)

    "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

    "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." (Ephesians 1:7)

    "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

    ....i was wondering if there is anythign in the old testament

    I am certain,there are many verses, as the new Testament is the continuation of the Old testament. Here are some from the OT:

    Ezekiel 14:6
    "Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Repent, turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations".

    Ezekiel 18:30
    “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways,” says the Lord GOD. “Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin"

    Ezekiel 18:31
    "Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel?

    Ezekiel 18:32
    " For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live.”

    Jeremiah 5:3
    "O LORD, are not Your eyes on the truth?
          You have stricken them,
          But they have not grieved;
          You have consumed them,
          But they have refused to receive correction.
          They have made their faces harder than rock;
          They have refused to return.

    Isaiah 1 :27

    " Zion shall be redeemed with justice,
          And her penitents with righteousness. "

  • Isaiah 44:22
          I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions,
          And like a cloud, your sins.
          Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.

    Isaiah 54:8
          With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment;
          But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,”
          Says the LORD, your Redeemer.

    Job 33:26-28
    26 He shall pray to God, and He will delight in him,
          He shall see His Face with joy,
          For He restores to man his righteousness.
    27 Then he looks at men and says,
          ‘I have sinned, and perverted what was right,
          And it did not profit me.’
    28 He will redeem his soul from going down to the Pit,
          And his life shall see the light.

    Psalm 34:22
    22 The LORD redeems his servants;
    no one will be condemned who takes refuge in Him.

  • Ninevah? King David after adultery, murder and abuse of power?  Aaron? Miriam? the list goes on.

    Read the book of Hosea and remember the story between Hosea and Gomer is what God portrays our relationship between Him and us.
