H.H. POPE SHENOUDA III INJURED (June 10, 2008)

H.H. Pope Shenouda III sustained an injury today, breaking his femur (according to the AFP), June 10, 2008, and was transported via Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s presidential jet to Cleveland, Ohio for treatment. All Ordinations for Pentecost 2008 have been postponed. Many bishops have canceled their flights to Egypt and are staying or coming to the States to visit His Holiness.

Let us all pray for the health and well being of our honored father, Pope Shenouda III. May the Lord grant him health and healing and may the Lord keep him for us for many more years and peaceful times.

Lord have Mercy.... I'm sooo worried. Lord protect him and heal him. How could he spend a whole night with an injury like that, and no one noticing?!  :'(

that's very devastating. H.H. tells everyone to leave him alone at night so he can pray. One time a bishop walked in on him and he found angels around H.H. and many of the saints and the virgin Mary and Christ were also there. However, he could only see the shape of the virgin and Christ but not their faces. I really hope he gets better soon.

What is happening?? first i hear that el Anba Anthony, Bishop of U.K.  ( i think... i know He has something to do wih U.K.), has got the marad 'el malakot. (sickness of paradise..... Cancer) just a few days ago, then now H.H. brakes His leg?? what id happening??      Hope He gets better soon, and will be able to come visit Winnipeg soon...

Yea, it was on cnn last night. I was switching through the channels to find the lakers game and then on cnn, i thought i saw pope shenouda's face so i switched back and I was right. They were criticizing the egyptian officials because President Mubaraq loaned pope shenouda his presidential jet to get to america asap. But when H.H. got to the airport, they said they wouldn't let sayedna leave with the presidential jet unless the president was with him because it was his jet. I have no idea what happened after that.
