Its too bad the pope is old and sick

edited January 2010 in Faith Issues
I want to personally ask him a question. I want to ask him can I be a christian and still have doubts that last forever. I want to show him something I read and ask if it is true because it was comforting. Doubt is different to skepticism and unbelief right? I want to ask him that.

  • The pope being old and sick doesn't take away from his wisdom and lightness of heart...
But I think your questions could be answered by a priest, especially your father of confession, maybe you should confront him about your doubts, which I think many of us have sometimes... But I think you should pray to experience God in a way that will erase all doubts...Ask God to 'help your unbelief' and to guide you to Him and to strengthen your faith, He's God, He can and will do it if you truly ask Him...

    God Bless
    Please pray for me
  • If you have Aghapy . They have a program called aseletenas (the people's questions). They have an email address to send to the questions. The  pope answers them on TV.
  • cool I probably know someone who has Aghaby. Thanks

  • Glad to help!
  • You know, i think this world is always on about age, making us in too much of a hurry to 'do' when we are young, but if we slow down and open our eyes we can see God saves some of the most important and hardest works for us in our 'old' age.
Remember our holy father Abraham was given Issac the son of the promise in his old age; 100yrs old wasn't he?!
Our holy father Moses did not actuallly do his chosen work of freeing the Israelites until he was 80yrs old!!
I think our holy father HH Pope Shenouda III has many more, maybe even greater teachings to share with us.
Let's try and look at the positive side: Our Pope is an elder and has much years of experience.
Let's pray for his swift recovery. Of course he has more than deserved his rest; but if it is God's will he stay's longer with us.....Give Thanks

Doubting Thomas, a disciple of Christ had to feel the wounds of Jesus to believe........i pray God will shows us what we need to rid us of doubts forever
