I was wondering what the difference between fasting from dairy products and fasting from dairy products and sea foods.
1) Why do we fast from either one? Why not fast from just Milk or from veggies?
2) Why do we fast from Seafood as well as dairy during lent and Wednesdays and Fridays and not during any other fast?

An answer to your first question: it was proved that the fasting without animal products (including milk) in the fasts, the people in them get stronger in spirit for praying more often

An answer to your second question: the Great Lent without fish (and Wednesday and Friday) for more depth in the prayers and the humbleness (fish add joy to fasts)
